About Yoga Soul Wellness Center
A Trauma-Informed Yoga Studio with Heart
Yoga Soul Wellness Center is a healing-centered yoga studio and education space founded on the belief that yoga can be a lifelong path to well-being. Located in Portola, California, we serve a diverse and inclusive community through trauma-informed yoga classes, private coaching, teacher training, workshops, and memberships. Every class, course, and session is taught with compassion, mindfulness, and choice.
We are committed to creating a space where all bodies, all identities, and all experiences are welcome. Our approach prioritizes emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and accessibility—because yoga should never be one-size-fits-all. We believe that your yoga practice should meet you exactly where you are, and that healing is possible at any stage in life.
Our Founder and Teaching Philosophy
Christina, the founder of Yoga Soul Wellness Center, is a certified yoga teacher, trauma-informed educator, mentor, and coach with decades of experience supporting others through personal transformation. Her teaching blends classical yoga philosophy with contemporary nervous system science to create a grounded, embodied, and empowering experience.
- Supporting students with chronic pain, trauma, or emotional overwhelm
- Teaching yoga professionals how to guide inclusive, sensitive classes
- Leading Yoga Alliance–approved training programs that change lives
- Encouraging community, connection, and curiosity in all aspects of practice
Yoga Soul was born out of her desire to provide a space where people could move, breathe, rest, and reconnect—without pressure or perfectionism.
A Message from Christina
“I started Yoga Soul to create the kind of space I wish I’d had earlier in life—a space that honors where you are and supports you gently toward where you want to go. For me, yoga is a tool of resilience and reconnection. It’s not about the poses. It’s about coming home to your body, your breath, your truth.”
This philosophy guides every program, every class, and every interaction. Christina continues to study trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and yoga philosophy to deepen her work and better serve her community.
What Trauma-Informed Yoga Means to Us
Trauma-informed yoga is at the center of everything we offer. It’s not a style or a trend—it’s a way of teaching that respects the autonomy, nervous system, and lived experience of every person in the room.
This approach supports students living with anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma, chronic stress, grief, and other challenges. But it also supports anyone who simply wants to feel more present and at ease in their body.
