At Yoga Soul Wellness Center, we offer private trauma-informed yoga sessions for individuals who want to deepen their practice, receive personalized support, or work through emotional or physical challenges in a one-on-one setting. These sessions are ideal for anyone looking for a customized approach to healing—whether you’re new to yoga, living with trauma or chronic pain, or simply seeking deeper awareness and calm.
Our trauma-informed model ensures each session is guided by consent, paced gently, and adapted to your individual needs. There is no pressure to perform or achieve. You are invited to come exactly as you are and move at a pace that feels right for your body and nervous system.
What to Expect in a Private Session
Every session begins with a short check-in to understand your intentions, needs, and energy levels for the day. From there, we build a gentle, personalized practice that might include movement, stillness, meditation, or breathwork depending on your goals.

Grounding and guided breath awareness

Gentle, adaptive yoga postures

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Mindfulness and nervous system regulation tools

Meditation or visualization

Chakra alignment or subtle energy practices

What Makes Our Private Yoga Trauma-Informed
Trauma-informed yoga differs from standard private instruction in several key ways. Rather than focusing on perfecting postures or pushing limits, these sessions emphasize nervous system safety, internal awareness, and emotional regulation. The experience is grounded in choice and trust—not correction.
Core Elements of Our Approach:
- You are the expert of your body. We offer choices and respect your responses
- Sessions are adapted to support nervous system balance and emotional safety
- Hands-on adjustments are not used unless specifically consented to in advance
- Classes are guided with invitational language, not commands
- You are always welcome to pause, modify, or opt out of any pose or practice
This model is especially supportive for individuals living with anxiety, PTSD, grief, or past trauma, as well as those recovering from illness, burnout, or injury.
Format and Scheduling Options
Private sessions are available in-person at our studio in Portola or virtually via Zoom. You can book single sessions, schedule recurring support, or create a custom wellness plan over time.

30-Minute Private Yoga - Meditation
60-Minute Private Yoga - Meditation
60-Minute Private Small Group Yoga-Meditation
90-Minute Yoga Therapy - Life Coach Session
2.5-Hour Yoga Teacher Coaching/Mentoring Session
Availability may vary based on teaching and training schedules. We encourage early booking, especially for those seeking recurring time slots.
Additional Private Support Services
In addition to private yoga sessions, we offer complementary healing tools and coaching to enhance your journey.
- Life coaching focused on resilience, purpose, and inner alignment
- Reiki healing for energy balance
- EFT (tapping) for emotional release and nervous system reset
- Breathwork and somatic practices
